Fell June 27, 1966 / TKW: 271 kg
Just northeast of Bordeaux in southwestern France, villagers of Saint-Séverin and Allemans were visited with sonic booms and the whistling of meteorites speeding by just prior to their impact. Multiple specimens were recovered, the largest weighing 113 kg. Saint-Séverin is almost entirely recrystallized; neither chondrules nor chondritic fragments are seen. Exhibiting the qualities of the best Saint-Séverin specimens, this partial slice features one long edge of fusion crust.
