Apart from it being a terrific example of a mesosiderite, little is known about NWA 4576. The description in the Meteoritical Bulletin is just a tabular listing and there are currently no papers cited in Google Scholar. NWA 4576 came onto the scene at a time when boatloads of NWAs were being delivered for analysis, and as a result many received scant attention. This select specimen was framed by Blaine Reed.
